Shari McGriff

Writing takes courage

The Writer's Academy is Write Into Your High Calling's new school for Christian writers and is led by Author, Professor, & Certified Book Coach Shari McGriff. She is dedicated to inspiring, equipping, and challenging redemptive storytellers to steward this high calling of God with holiness.
Shari wants to help redemptive writers impact the world for Jesus with the words God has given them to release to the world. To do that, Christian writers need to be supported and trained in many areas: the Word, Writing, Editing, and Publishing. Shari has a Master's in English and a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and has been teaching writing since 2011.
To meet these needs, Shari offers teaching through the Write Into Your High Calling podcast, groups, early manuscript evaluations, completed manuscript evaluations with the intent to revise, writing courses, and book coaching for writers who want her eyes on their projects as they write forward.
The message that redemptive writers have is so powerful that we must listen to the Holy Spirit and GO write our books, stories, songs, and screenplays. But as Shari has said in her podcasts and workshops, our inheritance is our readers/listeners, and all that we do comes through our work and can affect them. We must walk in holiness. This is not a perfectionist mindset, but if we love Him, then we obey Him (John 14:15). So, whether you work with her or not, take your calling seriously so you can impact the culture for Jesus.
